I am so glad to see the NEW Nelson County Clerk Website up. It is very interesting how talking about things can make them happen. Now we can discuss what should be on there and how people can get to it we will be going down the right track. I am SO excited to have these discussions. Please contact me about any questions you may have. One of the issues about running for an office while you have another job is the time it takes. I will return your calls and emails. Please do not hesitate to ask and I will answer or find the answer.

Thank you so much for coming out Friday night. Please tell others about events when you hear about them. Communication is the main part of Customer Service. If you don’t like something then you need to let someone know. So many times we just complain or let those around us know. I think life is too short to not go straight to the source and let them know. All of us are worried about hurting feelings, I believe many times we would do less damage if we just walked up to the source and discussed with them. I hope each of you have a great end of Summer and your Fall is great. Please keep in mind that Election day is November 2nd. If you are going to be out then get an absentee ballot. If you have any problems PLEASE let me know.

Good luck. That is a phrase I keep hearing as I talk to people about the Fall election. This one thing I know for sure, that who we spend time with, where we spend our resources and why we do what we do is important for tomorrow. There may be luck, but planning and preparation work pretty well too.
I look forward to hearing from you about opportunities in the Clerk’s office to make a difference in your life. Customer Service is very real and government is certainly NO exception. Have a great day.

During the course of this election there will be many claims made. When it all comes down to the Office of Nelson County Clerk, people want honesty, integrity and CUSTOMER SERVICE.
CUSTOMER SERVICE is what I do. I want to treat people the way they want to be treated. There are various likes and dislikes, there are individual schedules and needs, and there are as many ideas about How to do it as there are People who want it done. Making a difference in how someone gets information, is able to accomplish a task, or just gets in and out of the office quickly and effectively is what the Clerk’s office needs to always be about. Elect Dwight C. Newton as Clerk and that is what we will be about from day one.
Serving is about your intention, method, and ability. I want to show the people of Nelson County that I am capable in all these areas. Send me a question, ask me about my ideas, email me and give me your opinion. Our county has many different people and ideas, let’s get together, discuss and put the best ideas into practice. The Clerk’s office is about the people not about the office or the convenience to the staff. When you need something done it needs to be on your terms.
